A SevenRooms alternative for clubs and luxury concierge teams
SevenRooms is one of the best reservation and guest CRM platforms in hospitality, with an offering for membership clubs. The question is whether your members mostly book your tables, or ask you to arrange their lives.
The short version
SevenRooms serves restaurants and restaurant groups, hotels, nightlife, venues and membership clubs. Its products cover reservations and waitlists, table management, online ordering, events and experiences, loyalty, CRM and segmentation, and email and text marketing. For membership clubs it adds automated guest profiles with dining preferences and tags, reservations and tiered inventory by membership status, POS spend visibility across club areas, and Private Line for VIP communications.
That is a platform built around the venue’s own floor. It knows who is coming in tonight, what they like to drink, and what they spent last time. For a dining-led club or a restaurant group, that is the core of the business.
MyRolodex is built around work that happens elsewhere. A lifestyle management team or club concierge desk books other people’s restaurants, flights, villas and gifts, works through outside vendors with negotiated rates and commissions, and hears from members by text and email on staff’s own phones. If that sounds like your day, the two tools solve different problems.
Side by side, for concierge work
| What you need | SevenRooms | MyRolodex |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | Restaurants, hotels, nightlife, venues and membership clubs | Luxury concierge teams, lifestyle firms and member clubs |
| Guest and member profiles | Automated profiles with dining preferences and tags such as VIP | Preferences, allergies, family, birthdays, loyalty numbers and documents |
| Reservations and table management | A core strength, including tiered inventory by membership status | Not our focus; tables at outside venues are tracked as requests |
| Online and on-site ordering | Included, with ordering managed by membership status | Not our focus |
| Spend visibility | POS integration shows member spend across club areas and locations | Spend and commission by vendor across members’ requests |
| Member marketing | Email and text campaigns tied to reservations and revenue | Audiences from preferences, invitations by app, email and text, RSVPs and guest lists |
| Conversations with members | Private Line centralizes VIP and guest communications | Syncs staff’s own Gmail, Outlook, iPhone and Android to the right member |
| Travel, gifting and off-property requests | Built around the venue’s own reservations rather than outside bookings | Every request with an owner, status, vendor and audit history |
| Outside vendors and commission per booking | Not a stated focus | Vendor records with negotiated rates and commission logged on each booking |
When SevenRooms is the better choice
If you run a restaurant group, a hotel’s dining program or a dining-led members’ club, pick SevenRooms. Reservations, table management, waitlists, online ordering and POS-linked guest data are what it was built for, and MyRolodex does not replace any of them.
It is also the stronger choice when your marketing is mostly about filling covers and events at your own venues, since its campaigns tie straight back to reservations and revenue. If your members spend most of their time with you in your dining rooms, SevenRooms fits the shape of your business better than we do.
Adding MyRolodex alongside or instead of SevenRooms
- 1
Decide where each job lives
Clubs with their own dining rooms often keep SevenRooms for tables and move concierge work to MyRolodex. Teams without a venue usually move everything. We help you decide in the walkthrough.
- 2
Export guest profiles
Export member and guest profiles with their tags and preferences as CSV files. We map them onto MyRolodex profiles and link families together.
- 3
Load vendors and connect phones
Add the restaurants, hotels, drivers and suppliers you book with, including rates and commission terms. Each person on the team connects their Gmail or Outlook and their phone.
- 4
Turn on billing and the member app
Set up membership tiers, service fees and payment methods, then launch the member app under your own name so members see plans and statements in one place.
MyRolodex vs SevenRooms: common questions
Anything else, write to hello@myrolodexcrm.com.
Does MyRolodex handle restaurant reservations?
It tracks them as requests: who asked, which restaurant, the time, the vendor contact and any commission. It is not a table management or reservation book for your own dining room. For that, a platform like SevenRooms is the right tool.
Can a club use SevenRooms and MyRolodex together?
Yes, many clubs would split the work: SevenRooms for their own tables and events, MyRolodex for the concierge desk that books travel, outside restaurants and gifts. We don’t offer a direct SevenRooms integration today, so ask us in a walkthrough how the split would work for you.
How does messaging compare with Private Line?
MyRolodex doesn’t ask your team to move conversations into a new tool. Staff keep texting and emailing from their own iPhone or Android, Gmail or Outlook, and every conversation syncs to the right member and request, so the history stays with the company.
Does MyRolodex bill membership dues?
Yes. It bills dues by tier, passes vendor costs through at cost or with a markup, adds service fees by rule, and sends one statement per member or family, with cards and bank accounts on file and export to QuickBooks or Xero.
